Terms and Conditions

By booking with Wander the Waves (WtW), you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Booking and Payment Policy

To confirm a booking, we require a 50% deposit. The final payment is due 60 days before the voyage, and payment is made by bank transfer unless otherwise agreed. Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in the cancellation of your trip without a refund of the deposit.

Cancellations and Refunds

All voyage deposits are non-refundable, unless otherwise noted. In the event of cancellation, we will endeavor to help you find a replacement for your place on the boat, but we cannot guarantee it. We recommend taking out personal travel insurance to cover any unexpected cancellation event. Wander the Waves will comply with travel insurance claims related to cancellations.

If you cannot make your trip and we are able to fill your cabin, we will issue a refund. However, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to fill your cabin, and the cabin or boat must be paid in full regardless of the final number of travelers in your group who are unable to join. Please consult with us to discuss any cancellation or refund in detail.

In the unlikely event that Wander the Waves needs to cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances and factors beyond our control, we will offer you an alternative date to reschedule your trip. If this is not possible, we will issue a refund for any payments you have made. Please note that in no case can we be held responsible for any additional expenses you may incur, such as flights, travel expenses, or related costs. We strongly recommend that you take out personal travel insurance to cover any potential cancellations or unforeseen circumstances. Please note that WtW cannot be held responsible for any Act of God cancellations, including but not limited to weather, catastrophes, pandemics, injuries, break-downs, war, or other events beyond our control. 

In each case, we will strive to resolve the situation as best we can.

Liability and Waiver

By participating in a WtW trip, you assume the risks associated with sailing, including but not limited to injury or death, damage or loss of property, and the effects of weather. WtW assumes no responsibility or liability for any loss or damages that may arise from your participation in the trip.

All participants are required to sign a liability waiver before the trip begins, acknowledging and accepting the risks involved in sailing and releasing WtW from any liability in the event of injury, loss, or damages. 

Participation in the trip is conditional on signing and returning the Waiver of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement prior to the voyage start date. Failure to sign and return the waiver will result in the cancellation of your trip, and no refund will be provided. We strongly recommend that all participants sign the waiver at the time of booking.

The contents of this website, including but not limited to text, graphics, images, and other material, are protected under applicable copyright and trademark laws. All content is the property of Wander the Waves or its content suppliers. Unauthorized use or reproduction of any content is strictly prohibited.

Photography policy

We reserve the right to take photographs of our clients and their experiences on our voyages. By joining our voyage, you consent to the use of such photographs on our website, social media, and marketing publications. 

However, we respect your privacy and will honor any written request not to be photographed. If you wish to opt-out, please inform us in writing prior to your voyage.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms and conditions shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of UK.

Updates and Changes

We reserve the right to update and make changes to these terms and conditions at any time. It is your responsibility to check for any updates or changes to the terms and conditions when booking with WtW.

By booking with WtW, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
